Nominate YOUR European of the Year

Do you know a European who helps building up a European society you like to live in? Do you know a European who is active in shaping Europe's peaceful and responsible role in the world? Do you know a European who contributes to European cooperation and integration?
 
Perfect, then this is the chance to let us know...
 
Each year the Schwarzkopf-Foundation Young Europe awards the "Schwarzkopf Europe Prize" to institution or persons in public life who are to be honoured for their enthusiastic and valuable efforts for Europe. The Schwarzkopf-Europe-Prize is an opportunity for the young generation to award personalities of the older generation. Therefore, only young people in the age group of 14 to 28 can nominate somebody for the prize.
 
As possible nominees we are looking for a public personality who is active for Europe
for example by
  • fostering peaceful co-existence in Europe and worldwide.
  • protecting the freedom of expression and democracy in Europe and worldwide.
  • demonstrating courage to stand against repressive, undemocratic regimes, corruption, ill-treatment, and torture.
  • developing and/or implementing landmark European policies.
  • striving for sustainable development.
In 2010, the "Schwarzkopf-Europa-Prize" was awarded to Jean-Claude-Juncker for his exemplary communication of the European idea and his problem-solving abilities in the aftermath of the financial crisis.
